Effect on the body

The symptoms in Europe were different to the symptoms in Asia blood would gush from your nose and that was a plain sign of death. But in man and woman one of the main symptoms was tumours (swelling) in the groin or under the armpit. They grew to the size of a small apple or an egg. In no time the Swelling spread all over the body. Soon after that the symptoms changed and black or purple spots appeared on the arms, Thighs or any other part of the body. Sometimes a few large ones or many little ones. These spots were a certain sign of death. Most of the people with the disease would die in about 2-3 days.  In people,  plague has three forms: Bubonic plague, infection of the lymph glands; septicemia plague, infection of the blood; and pneumonic plague, infection of the lungs. No doctor of the time could overcome this sickening disease.
